How to test your speakers

  1. Turn your volume to a comfortable level.
  2. Press Left — sound should come only from the left. Press Right for the right side.
  3. Press Both to confirm stereo output works.
  4. Run the frequency sweep to check your speakers reproduce low and high tones cleanly.

No sound? Quick fixes

Nothing plays at all

Check the output device in your system sound settings — your computer may be sending audio to the wrong speakers, a monitor, or a disconnected Bluetooth device.

Only one side works

Try different headphones or cables to rule out hardware. In Windows, check the balance slider under Sound settings; a slider stuck to one side mutes the other.

Frequently asked questions

How do I test my speakers online?

Press Left, Right and Both to hear a tone in each channel. Silence on one side points to a faulty speaker or channel.

Are my left and right channels swapped?

Play the Left tone — if it comes from the right, your channels are reversed.

Does this test headphones too?

Yes — plug them in and the same left/right test applies.
