How to use the reaction test

  1. Click the box to arm it — it turns red and says "Wait…".
  2. When it turns green, click as fast as you can.
  3. If you click while it's still red, it counts as too early — just try again.
  4. Repeat a few times to build a reliable average.

What affects your score

Human visual reaction time is usually 200–250 ms. Fatigue slows you down, while caffeine and focus speed you up. Display and mouse input lag also add a few milliseconds, so results vary between setups.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good reaction time?

Around 200–250 ms is normal; under 200 ms is fast.

Why are my times inconsistent?

Anticipating the green throws off your timing — react, don't guess.
