About the battery test

This reads the browser's Battery Status API to report your charge level and whether you're plugged in. It can't tell you battery health (maximum capacity vs original) — for that, use your operating system: Windows can generate a battery report, and macOS shows battery condition in System Settings.

Checking battery health properly

  1. Windows: open Command Prompt and run powercfg /batteryreport for a full health report.
  2. macOS: System Settings → Battery → Battery Health.
  3. Phones: Settings → Battery for health and usage details.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the data blank?

Some browsers removed the Battery API for privacy. Chrome/Edge usually still support it.

Can this show battery health?

No — browsers only expose the current level and charging state, not maximum capacity.
